Overview
Oil spill response (OSR), marine fire fighting and rescue cover for vessels and facilities at Port Dickson. NS Maritime offers these services, using group resources. The service is for terminal operators, jetty owners and ship owners who need emergency cover on standby while a vessel works, anchors or lies up.
What we provide
- Oil spill response (OSR) on standby for terminals, anchorages and jetties.
- Marine fire fighting capability on standby. The group fleet's harbour tugs have fire fighting capability.
- Rescue capability on standby for the port area.
- Emergency cover for vessels at the Port Dickson anchorage, including vessels in lay up, for the whole stay.
- Emergency cover at the NSC jetty, which NS Maritime operates.
Working with other services
- Lay up: oil spill response, fire fighting and rescue cover is on standby for the anchorage throughout each lay up stay.
- NSC jetty: the emergency cover for the jetty is NS Maritime's oil spill response, fire fighting and rescue.
- Towage: the harbour tugs with fire fighting capability belong to the group fleet that also provides towage at Port Dickson.
Safety and standards
For each lay up stay, NS Maritime plans the cover in a standard operating procedure (SOP), an emergency response plan and a risk assessment prepared for that stay. The emergency cover runs until the vessel leaves.
