What we provide

NS Maritime manages each vessel's lay up stay from arrival to departure.

  • Lay up management and support, with hot lay up planned to a standard operating procedure (SOP) and emergency response plan.
  • A 24/7 watch over the vessels at anchor.
  • Oil spill response, fire fighting and rescue on standby for the anchorage throughout the stay.
  • Passenger, cargo and mooring boats on call from the group fleet in Port Dickson.
  • Pilotage and towage through Don Maritime, and agency and husbandry through Arangmas Shipping & Forwarding, both companies of the Don Maritime Group.

How it works

  • Send the vessel particulars and the expected duration. We come back with a plan and a quotation.
  • NS Maritime prepares the SOP, emergency response plan and risk assessment for the stay.
  • Pilots and tugs from the Don Maritime Group bring the vessel to her lay up point.
  • The watch and the emergency cover run until she leaves.

The approval

Jabatan Laut Malaysia publishes a list of approved lay up operators, the Senarai Operator Labuh Tunggu (PDF) (opens in a new tab), updated 16 April 2026. It gives each operator and the area of its activity. NS Maritime Sdn Bhd is on the list, with the two lay up points shown above.

During the stay

  • Passenger boats from the group fleet for crew changes, surveyors and pilots.
  • A cargo boat for stores and supply runs.
  • Mooring boats on call at the anchorage.
